Prof. Selcuk Tunali, MD, PhD, received his MD and PhD degrees from Hacettepe University. He worked as assistant professor and associate professor at Hacettepe University, and as associate professor and full professor at TOBB University of Economics and Technology. At TOBB University, beyond his numerous administrative positions, he served as Vice Dean and then Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. He worked as a full professor at TOBB University Faculty of Medicine until May 2026. Since 2008, he has been an adjunct professor at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine.
His research focuses on the anatomical basis of facial aesthetic interventions and surgery, plastination, anatomical variations, and the development of innovative tools to improve anatomy education. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy, American Association of Clinical Anatomists, International Society for Plastination, British Association of Clinical Anatomists, American Association for Anatomy, Anatomical Society, Institute of Anatomical Sciences, Global Community of Anatomical Science Educators, and other professional organizations.
He has developed new facial dissection and injection techniques for facial aesthetics. He has organized and directed more than 180 fresh frozen cadaver dissection courses across a wide range of medical specialties, with a strong focus on medical aesthetics. He runs his own medical aesthetic clinic in Ankara and directs his academic studies at the TunaliS Anatomy Institute in Ankara.
